Mayor Chris Coleman named Todd Hurley the new Director for Saint Paul's Office of Financial Services today. Hurley has been serving as interim director since Margaret Kelly left in February. His new position is effective immediately.
Hurley has been working for Saint Paul since 1986, starting as a recreation leader. In his time at the city, Hurley has served as an accountant, debt administrator, treasurer, deputy director and budget manager.
"Todd has shown incredible devotion to this city, continually exceeding all expectations of his job title," Mayor Coleman said. "He has done a phenomenal job as interim director, and I am confident he will continue to excel as Saint Paul's next OFS Director."
At a time of city-funding uncertainty at the state level, Hurley provides an essential expertise in fiscal management. He has served twice as Saint Paul’s interim director, managing the Mayor’s $530 million budget and coordinating the sale and repayment of over $1 billion in bonds, leases and capital notes.
Hurley has been with the city for just over 25 years.
